Szczecin welcomes Scandinavia for the fourth time

The next Scandinavian Days are coming soon, bringing business events along with a cultural and sports package and family entertainment. It is the only international event with the sole purpose of furthering Polish-Scandinavian relations. This year’s festival takes place on 30 March - 2 April.

The fourth Scandinavian Days, under the title “The energy of smart cities”, continues the concept of creating an active and interdisciplinary platform for Polish-Scandinavian cooperation which began four years ago. The presence of the Ambassadors of all the Scandinavian countries and representatives of the Polish Ministry of Development shows that the Days have already achieved recognition, becoming one of the most important events on the map of Polish-Scandinavian relations.

This year’s Scandinavian Days will be launched on 30 March with a business conference. Outstanding politicians, scientists and experts from the Scandinavian countries and Poland have announced their participation in the sessions. The discussions will focus on smart city management and public transport management, as well as issues related to creating public space and cooperation between business and higher education institutions.

In addition to the conference, a business exchange forum will be held. Its objective is to provide a space for businesses to establish contacts with potential foreign partners. The concept of exchange allows the sharing of knowledge and experience and the developing of international cooperation between Polish and Scandinavian business entities.

The Scandinavian Days are a perfect occasion for finding business contacts and discussing social issues, but there is also no shortage of projects in the fields of education and tourism.

The next days will feature educational, cultural and sports and family events. Film screenings, exhibitions, concerts and discussions with people with interesting stories from Scandinavia are an important addition. Jazz enthusiasts will also find Scandinavian artists during this year’s Me.Ba international festival.

The announced Honorary Guests include His Excellency Karsten Klepsvik, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Her Excellency Inga Eriksson Fogh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, Her Excellency Hanna Lehtinen, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland, His Excellency Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, experts from the Polish Ministry of Development, representatives of academic circles and local governments (including representatives of partner cities from Scandinavia (Esbjerg/Denmark, Malmö/Sweden) and friendly cities (Egersund/Norway), as well as representatives of businesses, entrepreneurs, NGOs, and artistic and cultural communities.
