A word from the Mayor of Szczecin
Ladies and genlemen,
I cordially invite you to the 12th edition of Scandinavian Days. This year’s event will be held under the motto Well connected – connected through health.
Health is a network of connections between people, technology, the environment, and local government. Being "well connected" means creating a healthy ecosystem in which collaboration, innovation, and responsibility support each other. The concept demonstrates that health is created where science, business, local government, and society meet. The Scandinavian Days become a space where these connections take on real meaning
Innovation in the medical sector, the development of new technologies, and increased public awareness of health care in every aspect are the foundation of all actions in today's world. The examples and good practices we observe among our northern neighbours allow us all to work together towards a better, healthier tomorrow.
Scandinavian Days, which have become a permanent fixture in the City of Szczecin's activities in terms of cooperation with Nordic countries, provide an opportunity to discuss new challenges and outline directions for Szczecin's development in the context of Polish-Scandinavian cooperation, showcasing the city's potential. This year's event will also be an opportunity to take advantage of the city's cultural offerings, which, as every year, will showcase the interesting and diverse aspects of Scandinavia. There will also be an educational element, during which children and young people from Szczecin schools will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in an art competition and an Oxford-style debate competition.
As always, we strive to address topics that are important to us all and learn from each other. I hope that this time, our joint meetings will once again yield a wealth of knowledge, new ideas, solutions, and partnerships.
I strongly encourage you to participate in the creation of Scandinavian Days.
