Scandinavia, business and energy come together ... in Szczecin!

This year's Scandinavian Days began - the only such event in Poland.

Scandinavian Days is an active and interdisciplinary platform for cooperation between Poland and Scandinavia. Its formula helps to bring together both regions in a modern way. Through business conferences and a wide range of cultural events, including concerts, exhibitions and meetings with artists, the participants of this Scandinavian Days have the opportunity to get to know our neighbours from the north.

- Szczecin has worked closely with Scandinavia for many years. We want our city benefit from the rich experience of the Nordic countries as much as possible. We look forward to interesting discussions and exchange of valuable information - said during the press conference opening Scandinavian Days. I hope that we will continue the good practice of cooperation.

The representatives of Denmark, Norway and Sweden have also said a few words during the conference.   

- I am very pleased that I can once again take part in the event. Like the Mayor Piotr Krzystek I also believe that through the cooperation we can gain a lot - said Steen Hommel,  Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark. - Scandinavian Days is an extremely valuable initiative, a platform for dialogue on a number of areas. Denmark is open to further cooperation with Poland and Szczecin.

- Thank you for creating the Scandinavian Days. This unique event shows best the scale of relations between the Poland and Scandinavia. I hope that our cooperation will continue developing - said at today's press conference Karsten Klepsvik - Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway.

- Sweden focuses on cooperation with other regions. A good example of such cooperation are, amongst others, Scandinavian Days.  It is a great pleasure to take part in it - admitted Inga Eriksson Fogh - Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden.

Hanna Lehtinen - Ambassador of Finland also spoke at today's press conference opening Scandinavian Days 2016. She admitted that she was impressed by the event.

This year, the Scandinavian Days began with a business conference. The substantive panels were attended by eminent researchers and experts from the Nordic countries and Poland. Also invited Specialists on  pro-innovation and environmental activities funding programs implemented by local governments and entrepreneurs were also invited.
