We are counting the days until the beginning of the next Scandinavian Days. Thursday, 30 March, marks the beginning of a 4-day marathon full of interesting events for children and adults alike. What attractions await us?

On Thursday, 30 March, Teatr Lalek Pleciuga (the Pleciuga Doll Theatre) will be staging “Pippi Långstrump”. Pippilotta Viktualia Rullgardina Krusmynta Efraimsdotter Långstrump, or Pippi to her friends, is Astrid Lindgren's most famous heroine. There will be two performances, at 9 am and at 11.30 am. The Delta Club invites you to the Cinematic Scandinavian Days. A screening of “The Disciple” is planned for late afternoon on Thursday. The screening starts at 6 pm. More information: www.delta.ehost.pl

Teatr Współczesny invites you to a performance entitled “Trollgatan. Troll Street”, directed by Tomasz Kaczorowski. The performance starts at 7 pm. More information: www.wspolczesny.szczecin.pl

The Thursday programme of the Scandinavian Days will end with two events forming part of the Me.Ba festival. From 7.00 pm the S1 Studio of Polish Radio Szczecin will be hosting music workshops for students of Szczecin’s art schools. The meeting will be hosted by the Finnish saxophonist Jukka Perko. At 7.00 pm there will also be a concert by Anna Serafińska and her band “Gadu Gadu” (“Chit-Chat”) featuring songs with lyrics written by the great Agnieszka Osiecka. More information www.saa.pl

On Friday, in Complex of Schools No. 5 at ul. Hoża 3 in Szczecin, children and young people will get to know the culture of the Scandinavian countries. The programme includes events, artistic performances and shows, exhibitions of competition works and something for gourmands – a tasting of Scandinavian regional products. The event starts at 9.30 am.

At 4.30 pm the “Klub Skolwin” Culture Centre will host a thematic meeting with the Huggins Hird Historical Re-enactment Group. More information: www.klubskolwin.pl
